KARR Security Firmware Update Instructions

Welcome below you will find both instructions and video tutorials on how to update your KARR Security firmware. In addition, our customer service team is always available should you need any assistance at 800-395-5277.

Activated System

If you purchased a KARR system for your dealer, you have an activated system.

Follow these simple steps to perform your firmware update:

Go to your vehicle and sit at the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Open the KARR Security App and login.
Connect to the KARR Security App and select your vehicle.
Tap the “Setting button” from the bottom right corner of the App page.
Scroll to the Check for Updates option and tap it.
Follow the in-app instructions to perform the firmware update.
If your device is already on the latest firmware, a prompt will let you know you’re finished.
Once completed no further action is necessary.

Non-Activated System

If you purchased a vehicle but did not activate the KARR Security system at the time of purchase, you can still verify you have the system and if desired perform a firmware update.

Follow these steps to perform a firmware update:

Download the KARR Security App.
Go to your vehicle and sit at the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Open the KARR Security App and tap the “Customer Service: 800-395-5277” call link at the bottom of the App.
Follow the in-app instructions to check your VIN and perform the firmware update.
If your device is already on the latest firmware, a prompt will let you know you’re finished.
Once completed no further action is necessary.
