What to Do If Your Vehicle Is Stolen
Recovering Your Vehicle with KARR Security
If your vehicle has been stolen, follow these steps to begin the recovery process:
Step 1: File a Police Report
Before contacting KARR Security, file a police report. You’ll need the following information from the responding officer:
- Police report number
- Officer’s name
- Officer’s badge number
- Officer’s contact information
You can find vehicle details like the VIN, license plate number, and the last known location in the “Report Vehicle Theft” section of your KARR Security app.
Step 2: Open the KARR Security App
From the Home screen, tap the Menu icon (three lines in the upper left corner).
Select “Report Vehicle Theft” and follow the instructions.
Note: The Report Vehicle Theft option is not available on all KARR Security programs.
Step 3: Use the App to File Your Report
Once you’ve entered the police report information, tap the Email Stolen Vehicle Report button to send your details to the KARR Recovery Team.
Step 4: Notify the KARR Security Recovery Team
Tap Contact KARR Recovery to call us directly. From there, our team will begin working with law enforcement to recover your vehicle.
